Doing a showreel was always difficult to me. I tend to prefer projects with a strong storyline rather than producing tiny bits of animation and when I try to cut-down my projects and mixing them up I always feel like they’re losing sense.
On the other hand I felt mandatory to have a 3d motion design showreel.
My solution to this dilemma is “The Honest Reel”, a completely made-up reel in the form of a short commercial.
It ironises about my works and skills and it makes fun of 3d motion design in general.
I owe big thanks to Brendan Cox, a fellow animator and voice over artist who literally gave voice to my thoughts.

Do you need some 3d Motion Design?
Is your still life lacking a bunch of primitives?
How about un unnecessarly complicated isometric coffee machine?
